Jaguar I-Pace 76 MPGe
The Jaguar I-Pace comes in electric-only, the EV400. There is a 90. The 0-kWh battery pack and two electric motors give the car a whopping 394horsepower and 512 pound-feet of Torque. This results in an SUV that can accelerate to 60 mph in less than five seconds. The I-pace is also family-friendly, with seating for a family of four in addition to a small front trunk.
Audi e-tron Sportback 77 MPGe
The original e-Tron SUV has a more aggressive version called the e-Tron Sportback. This electric SUV is heavier than Ram 1500 and has five passengers and two rows of seats. The Audi e-Tron Sportback is still quicker than the big half-ton truck, with a 5.1-second zero-to-60 time. This is courtesy of the peak 402 horsepower that the e-Tron Sportback’s two motors produce, one at each axle. The Audi e-Tron Sportback’s increased weight can be attributed to its larger 95.0-kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
Audi e-Tron 78 MPGe
The larger, boxier form of the e-Tron is available for anyone looking for additional cargo space. This vehicle is the perfect choice for families or anyone who needs a little extra room to haul around their belongings. A whopping 95.0-kWh lithium-ion battery pack and two beefy electric motors, one at each axle, generate an awe-inspiring peak of 402 horsepower and 490 pound-feet of torque. Since the Audi e-Tron only has a range of 222 miles, it is not as impressive as other electric vehicles on the market. However, it is quick, hitting 60 mph in 5.5 seconds.
Porsche Taycan 79 MPGe
The new Porsche Taycan is available in both rear-drive and all-wheel-drive 4S models. Both models are very efficient, with a combined 79 MPGe. The 79.2-kWh battery pack is standard on both models. This allows the car to have an excellent range, making it a great option for long-distance travel. The Taycan and Taycan 4S sedans, while efficient, have the least driving range of all the models in the Taycan lineup. This may be due to their smaller battery size or other factors. Nonetheless, they are still able to hold their own against other electric cars on the market. The base car is capable of going 200 miles on a full charge, per the EPA, and adding the bigger battery pack increases the range of the 4S to 227 miles. The 4S is rated at 199 miles without the bigger battery pack.
Audi e-Tron GT 82 MPGe
Audi’s e-Tron GT directly responds to Porsche’s Taycan electric sedan. The two cars share many key components, but the e-Tron GT has unique bodywork and interior detailing. This makes it a more appealing option for customers who want an electric car with a distinct Audi feel. The standard e-Tron GT and rowdyRS e-Tron GT are the two flavors of the EV. Both have electric motors at the axle that allow for wheel drive with a 93.4kWh battery pack. The two electric motors in the entry-level e-Tron GT work together to produce a combined peak of 522 horsepower. The RS e-Tron GT, which has a more powerful motor, produces 637 ponies.
Volvo XC40 Recharge 85 MPGe
Volvo is making some pretty big claims about their new XC40 Recharge. They say it can do a 0-60 mph launch in 4.7 seconds, which is pretty impressive for an SUV. They also claim that it has a range of 223 miles on a single charge, thanks to its 78.0-kWh battery pack. The XC40 Recharge’s frunk cargo area is a great feature that provides extra space for storing things. This is especially useful for storing larger items that might not fit as easily in the trunk of a traditional sedan or SUV. Volvo C40 Recharge 87 MPGe
If you’re not a fan of the Volvo XC40 Recharge’s boxy shape, then perhaps you’ll prefer the more swooping design of the C40 Recharge. In addition, the C40 Recharge is more efficient than its boxier counterpart. As a result, this sleek and sporty electric SUV nets an EPA-rated driving range of 226 miles—3 miles more than the rated range of the XC40 Recharge.
Mazda MX-30 92 MPGe
The stylish Mazda MX-30 SUV is unfortunately underwhelming in terms of its electric performance. This is due to its front-drive 35.5-kWh battery pack, which results in a measly EPA-rated driving range of just 100 miles. The MX-30’s base price of $34,695 is significantly higher than more efficient and longer-range EVs such as the Chevrolet Bolt EV and Bolt EUV. This is likely due to the MX-30’s larger size and shapeshifter body style. Despite this, if you’re adamant about owning an MX-30, then you’ll need to reside in—or be willing to travel to—California, as Mazda’s EV is only sold in the Golden State (for the time being, at least).
Mercedes EQS 97 MPGe
Mercedes created an electric luxury sedan formula called the EQS. The electric version of the S class flagship sedan is currently available in rear-drive single-motor 450+ and all-wheel-drive dual-motor 580 guises. The former model packs 329 horsepower and offers an EPA-rated driving range of 350 miles. The latter model, meanwhile, is a more powerful option with a combined peak output of 516 horses and is capable of traveling 340 miles on a full charge. If you’re looking for an electric vehicle with plenty of power and range, either one of these models would be a great choice.
Volkswagen ID.4 99 MPGe
Volkswagen is introducing its electric future in the United States with the ID.4 compact SUV. The starting trim for the ID.4 is the Pro model, which features 201 horsepower and rear-wheel drive. According to the EPA, the 2021 model year Pros get 99 MPGe and have a driving range of 260 miles on a full charge. Those in search of a more powerful vehicle can opt for all-wheel drive, which adds a second motor that powers the front wheels. It works with the rear motor to produce a combined peak of 295 horses. This option provides additional power and stability for the vehicle. Choosing all-wheel drive instead lowers the 2021 ID.4’s driving range to 249 miles per charge.
Ford Mustang Mach-E 101 MPGe
Although it lacks the growl of older Mustang models, the Ford Mustang Mach-E can still pack a punch. The Mach-E is still a powerful vehicle, even though it may not look as flashy on the outside. And for those keeping track, the 15.5-inch vertically oriented touchscreen is half an inch larger than that of the Tesla Model Y. This gives the driver more space to see mapping and control media functions.
Tesla Model X
The standard dual-motor model and the tri-motor Plaid trim are two different trim levels for the Model X SUV. Chevrolet Bolt EV
Chevrolet is giving the Bolt EV a makeover for 2022. Although the car’s mechanical parts will remain the same, its exterior and interior will be updated. This refresh should help keep the Bolt EV looking fresh and appealing to buyers. This means the bow-tie-badged hatchback continues to perform as it should. A battery pack feeds an electric motor. A front-drive Bolt EV can travel as far as 259 miles on a full charge, according to the EPA.
Hyundai Kona Electric
The Kona Electric has everything you could want in a car. It has excellent driving dynamics, a long driving range, and a comprehensive warranty. Plus, the interior is roomy and the styling is stunning. You won’t be disappointed with this car. Plus, it’s competitively priced and offers an EPA-rated range of 258 miles on a full charge. Unfortunately, the Kona Electric is not offered in an all-wheel drive model. The 64.0-kWh battery pack only powers the front wheels, through a 201-hp electric motor.
Tesla Model S
